Anand has a rare combination of sophisticated legal experience, a background steeped in technology and AI, and time spent building products in the legal technology space. Loop Litigation brings all three together: a law firm powered by sophisticated attorneys using technology and AI to strengthen their work, while keeping attorney judgment and expertise at the forefront.

Anand has 17 years of experience handling high-stakes business disputes — and a technologist's conviction that the practice of law should be driven by data and efficiency, not billable hours. That combination is the foundation Loop Litigation is built on.

Over his career, Anand has been a partner at an Am Law 200 firm, co-founded and led a Chicago litigation boutique, and served as Managing Partner of a licensed alternative business structure law firm delivering data-driven eDiscovery and co-counsel services nationwide. He has steered large-scale antitrust cases, class actions, and multi-district litigation, along with a wide range of business disputes spanning contract, fiduciary duty, trade secret, fraud, professional liability, and appellate matters — in state, federal, and appellate courts across the country, and before the United States Supreme Court. His clients have ranged from Fortune 100 companies to closely held businesses.

That last chapter is why Loop Litigation exists. Anand spent three years inside one of the country's first law firms licensed as an alternative business structure — built specifically to pair seasoned attorneys with technology — testing what happens when legal delivery is rebuilt around data instead of billable hours. Over the same period he served as Product Owner for AI-driven eDiscovery products, owning the roadmap for predictive coding, document classification, privilege review, and legal analytics, and working directly with engineering and data science teams on model evaluation, bias mitigation, and explainability. He also served as General Counsel to the legal technology company behind those products. Loop Litigation is the next step: everything that model got right, applied to commercial litigation, with a senior lawyer accountable for every judgment call. Anand is known for a big-picture, strategic approach: helping clients understand the real nature of a dispute, weigh litigation against alternatives, and pursue a strategy that fits realistic time and cost constraints. He is a persistent advocate for working efficiently — using technology and data to strengthen his clients' positions while keeping costs down.

The technology background predates the law degree. Anand studied computing and cognitive science at Northwestern, with advanced coursework in natural language processing, algorithm design, cognitive modeling, and artificial intelligence, then spent two years as a consultant at Accenture serving Fortune 100 clients. He has tracked the impact of emerging technology on the legal field ever since. At Loop Litigation, that background is central: the AI agents behind the firm are built to reflect how experienced litigators actually practice.

Representative matters

• Obtained complete reversal in the Federal Circuit of an $11 million fee award entered under Section 285 of the Patent Act, and defended the result against a petition for certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court.
• Litigated a novel antitrust injury question in the Second Circuit for global consumer products manufacturers as opt-out plaintiffs in multidistrict class action litigation over the price of primary aluminum in North America, obtaining an eight-figure settlement.
• Defeated multiple summary judgment motions in a trust and fiduciary dispute over control of a nine-figure family company, leading to a settlement in which the client obtained control and management rights.
• Obtained affirmance in the Seventh Circuit of a $2.9 million judgment for fraudulent transfer and successor liability.
• Obtained complete dismissal of a putative class action under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act on behalf of a multinational paper products company.
• Defended a loss prevention technology company against monopolization and false advertising claims brought by a competitor, obtaining a settlement dismissing all claims after summary judgment and Daubert briefing.
